This Hilton home gets a splash of colour

The Brief:

In this case, the family who briefed me had completed building their home and had decorated it in neutral colours and made do with furniture collected over the years. They wanted a complete makeover, maintaining a streamlined Scandanavian “look” but injecting life and colour into the mix. We replaced all the furniture including replacing two wingback chairs with a comfy club sofa and gave the Morris bench a complete make over. Adding the odd accent wall gave the space an immediate shift.

  • The Concept
  • Furniture

Before commencing the project my client wished to understand the concept that I had for the area in their home that needed attention, so I compiled a presentation with the chosen fabrics and a 3d drawing to aid their visualisation of the space. As the client had already pre-selected floor to ceiling duck egg blue curtains, I complimented the dominant colour with a red, stone and blue palette to warm up the area and give some vibrancy to the home decor.

Each item of furniture was custom made to suit the measurements and dimensions of the space. We chose leather and darker toned fabrics to suit the ages of the family’s children.
