A Howick Home has a Makeover

The Brief:

This Howick home had become dated and my clients asked me to reinvent the space. The brief was to give them a living area reminiscent of a Bistro and with a distinct flavour of Europe. I chose a brick and sky blue concept, honey coloured leather complimented with soft cream walls.  For their living area, I selected a corner couch, a leather two-seater sofa and single chairs and upholstered the chairs around the newly purchased round table and dining suite. I designed a coffee station and server for the dining room which would house the couples’ coffee machine and accessories. I then commissioned a painting for the round table seating area reminiscent of visiting an Italian Promenade and we clad the wall in faux paint techniqued sand stone pavers and added a shelf to house accessories which would compliment the area.

All furniture was custom manufactured for the client in fabrics and styles chosen to compliment their personality and tastes.

A house is a work in progress and we added the urns and geraniums years after completing the project. We update curtains and accessories as we get there but make sure the framework is in place so the house has a direction and structure for the future.
