The Sequel to Kew

The Brief

The clients, also friends of mine, asked if I would create a warm and inviting sanctuary for them using one of my favourite Autumnal colour schemes which they had seen in a previous home that I had completed. Starting with a blank canvas, I sourced and designed all seating furniture, fabrics, curtaining and colours which when combined gave them the effect that they were looking for. Preferring to use as little patterned floral fabric as possible, I chose stripes, textures and silks to enhance the concept depth without overwhelming designs.

Continuing the Autumn theme with no loud patterns, I chose a concept using silk fabrics, sage green and masses of texture which combined to give the room a strong definition without being overwhelming. Not wanting to create an accent wall in this quieter room, I localised the burnt orange colours to the chairs and bed accessories giving the room the “punch” it needed.
