Victoria Country Club Estate Residence

The Brief

A client’s third home, his dream house. We were called in to project manage the finishing schedule and construction preparations for installation, then complete the concepts and decorating. A two stage design and decor project. Massive picture windows with gorgeous views of the Victoria Country Club Golf Course set the stage for this expansive project. Goal, maximise the vistas and compliment the natural surroundings.

Stage one, make the house functional with tiling, carpets, lighting, kitchen, sanitary ware, curtains and put together a cohesive concept. Stage two, decorate the home with wallpaper, filling it with furniture, art and accessories. These finer details are accomplished over time with the owner evolving into his environs, turning a beautiful house into a home and private sanctuary. A huge undertaking with impressive hall, balconies, 4 bedrooms, 4 lounges, pub, dining room, kitchen, study and entertainment/snooker room.

The Oggie light oak wooden floor set the understated and subtle colour scheme for the project. A monochromatic colour scheme was chosen, bright accent colours in different shades of blue and red are still to be realised. The curtains, paint and flooring are differing hues of the same colour and this gives a soft, natural serenity to the residence.

A white shaker door and a modern kitchen compliments the classical contemporary style of the interior open plan living area of this Victoria Country Club Estate residence. The same Caesar Stone is used throughout the house in bathrooms and bars creating a cohesive aesthetic. We opted not to use any splash back detail and let the wall colour complete the picture. Chrome, stone and stainless steel is the accent in this kitchen.

Recessed behind bulk heads, 3 metre long curtains frame each window without detracting from the view. Soft flowing voile curtains on the inside tracks provide privacy and a reprieve from the sun without blocking the views entirely when closed. The separate blockout curtains behind the voiles offer darkened rooms for late morning lie ins and superb daytime sport viewing.

The contemporary style sofa in the main TV lounge is upholstered in a gorgeous, rich corduroy for longevity and luxury. The legs are natural oak and offer no distraction to the wooden floors.
