B&B Polo Room
The Brief
An existing client asked me to transform her teenage son’s bedroom into a B&B guest room. The house has a ranch theme running through it with a number of horses on the property, so it was not surprising that a room with equestrian features was desired. By choosing blanket checks, a polo patterned fabric and rough textures, we transformed the room into a horse enthusiast’s delight. Using my client’s existing polo sticks, finding some lamps and red shades and manufacturing a cracked leather headboard, I was able to create a vintage appearance that gave the illusion that the decorative pieces had been collected over many years.
